1. Interior Design Inspirations – 201 ELIZABETH STREET DESIGN COMPETITION
The establishment of a destination for everyone that is a sophisticated, timeless, and exquisite legacy for the City of Sydney is a development of State Significance centred on a new luxury experience.
Scott Carver’s proposal for Elizabeth & Park strikes a balance between inclusive luxury, craftsmanship, and subtlety to create a bespoke outcome based on three key principles: nature as legacy; the extension of public space into the building beyond the ground plane; and the connection of the street to the sky; achieved through the breaking down of the tower form as it extends to the ground plane.
2. Interior Design Inspirations – WESLEY EDWARD EAGAR LODGE
The Wesley Mission Edward Eager Lodge [WEEL] has served as a chapel since 1847 and as a crisis shelter since 1977.
The project opens up the ground plane to invite the general public to Surry Hills, allowing them to view the heritage-listed façade and chapel interior while also assisting in the rehabilitation and reintegration of the homeless.
3. Interior Design Inspirations – SPRING SQUARE
The aim was to design and build a mixed-use complex that took into account Bankstown’s existing state as well as its future direction. The Scott Carver concept connects Bankstown’s western residential sector with the Town Centre, which is located to the east, by establishing a clear and open through site link (TSL).
The development also aims to meet the area’s housing needs by constructing five residential buildings above a podium level with a generous arrangement of communal open space and terrace-style homes.
4. Interior Design Inspirations – SHERATON GRAND SYDNEY HYDE PARK
To enhance the Ballroom, Function Rooms, and Prefunction spaces to reflect the hotel’s rebranding as Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, as well as its brand pillars of sophisticated design, elevated finishing, essential attractions, and beautiful events.
The Hyde Park room is intended as a traditional yet modern venue, ideal for weddings and parties, with exquisite sheers framing views of Hyde Park. The Prefunction room serves as a transition between the vast atrium entrance and the elegance of the function sections, creating a strong feeling of arrival. A blue, grey, and white colour scheme is used throughout the area, with brass and metal elements suggestive of peering inside a jewellery box.
5. Interior Design Inspirations – LIFESTYLE HOTEL CONCEPT
Scott Carver was asked to produce a guest room design idea for a well-known Operator to promote a new lifestyle hotel brand. This precise idea was utilised to sell the hotel’s vision to the owner of a property in Hong Kong, resulting in a management agreement for this property.
This Lifestyle hotel caters to Millennial guests who are looking for new experiences. Because of its position in Hong Kong’s retail district, Scott Carver was able to design the hotel room as an extension of the shopping experience.
Scott Carver’s objective with Z.E.N, two 20-story residential buildings in the Sydney neighbourhood of Wentworth Point, near the Quarterdeck flats, was to design two apartment towers to fulfil the demands of a varied community. They desired to provide inclusive open areas that catered to a wide range of resident demographics.
7. Interior Design Inspirations – KYŪBI MODERN ASIAN DINING
The Campbelltown Catholic Club sought to provide its guests with an inner-city dining experience as part of a significant renovation. Campbelltown is 50 kilometres southwest of Sydney, and the club’s requirement was to provide a high-quality, contemporary Asian eating experience that could compete with the finest in the city.
8. Interior Design Inspirations – MODA
The objective was to design a high-quality residential development that was appropriate for the site environment, as well as a vibrant new cultural centre to engage Norwest’s various communities. This project, which was built adjacent to a riparian corridor and a watercourse, requires considerable environmentally and visually sensitive landscape design to complement the architectural concept and larger urban context, while also creating high-quality private areas for residents and guests.
9. Interior Design Inspirations – 51 ALBERT
The requirement called for the design of a distinctive residential addition to Auckland’s metropolitan skyline on the top 11 floors of a 43-story tower. The 24 luxury apartments atop Hotel Indigo Auckland had to carefully react to the bright and modern hotel idea, as well as the existing historical building at ground level while offering a tranquil refuge away from it all. The services and amenities provided by the below hotel, also designed by Scott Carver, were required for these opulent residences in the sky, providing for a real first-class branded living experience.
10. Interior Design Inspirations – VERIDIAN + KOGARAH RSL
This project combines the reconstruction of the Kogarah RSL club, the Wesley Medical Facility, and new residential flats and is located to the southwest of the Kogarah town centre zone, with frontages to Railway Parade and Blake Street.
