Tomorrow, 24th November, the doors of London’s Business Design Centre will be thrown open for Sleep, Europe’s exhibition and conference for the global hospitality industry, development and architectural community. Now in its 10th edition, the two-day conference and exhibition brings together professionals from across the hotel design, development and architecture industries for networking events, discussions and product showcases.

Five design teams including The Studio at Harrods and Areen Hospitality will each propose a concept for a guest suite in this year’s Sleep Set built-room competition – basing their ideas on fairy tales and folklore. Each team will explain their response to the brief during a conference session. The winning team will be announced on 24 November 2015 at 7pm in the Sleep Bar, which has been designed by London studio Conran+Partners.
Also at this hospitality event, multidisciplinary practice Il Prisma will create the Social Harbour – described by the organisers as a “refuge for new nomads, digital travellers and smart workers to express individuality as well as seek like-minded tribes”.Multidisciplinary practice Il Prisma Group, which has pioneered a revolution in attitude towards how we use interior space with its mission to redefine habits, will create the Social Harbour.
Exhibitions 2015
At the entrance to Sleep will be an installation by luxury lighting manufacturer Preciosa – Souls is series of simple graceful elliptical forms in Bohemian glass that will appear to float above the lobby. Quintessential British brand Timorous Beasties is to debut with hand printed and digitally printed wallpapers and fabrics, vinyl wallcoverings, concrete tiles, laces and granites. Also exhibiting for the first time, Johnson Tiles will be exhibiting new range launches and previewing its new autumn winter collections featuring design led wall and floor tile ranges.

Newcomer Mineheart will feature its design fairytale, a collection of playful and eccentric designs of wallpaper, lighting and home accessories; Coco Wolf has collaborated with Holland & Sherry to launch their new range of upholstered outdoor furniture at Sleep; and bathroom brand-leader Dornbracht will be showcasing its newly launched elegant CL.1 fitting with striking and innovative features.
