The future of fashion is in the individualization of the product as shown in the Italian fashion house Gucci launched a new customization service ” Make yourself ” that lets you turn your luxury handbags Dionysus in even more personal and unique objects.

The initiative was inspired by the philosophy of creative director Alessandro Michele, who through DIY service (Do It Yourself), encourages the customers of the brand to express themselves by customizing their bags with ultra-colored embroidered and decorated with metal or Swarovski crystals details.

The choice of gifts includes animal motifs and plants such as butterflies, roses, peonies, hearts, bees, snakes, stars etc. There are multiple reasons available. The DIY service was launched on 25 May at the Gucci store in Via Montenapoleone in Milan, and soon will be extended to other brand stores worldwide.

Gucci also announced that in the future your customers can also customize pieces of clothing and shoes so that they can have exclusive pieces.

For simple models, customers have a choice of four skins (crocodile, ostrich, python and leather “Moon”) and the color palette includes 18 tones. The letters can be embellished with Swarovski crystals. Although the goal of the DIY initiative is to allow customers to express themselves individually, the materials, detailing and decoration are meant to evoke the Michele view. This is a way for customers become co-creators with the creative director of Gucci. This is luxury!
