Interior design is one of the disciplines that Olivier Dwek undertakes with passion. His most recent project, Apartment S, is an exercise in style, revealing this very passion for interior decorating. Take a look inside this beautifully designed apartment and get design inspiration.
The design of this apartment in Paris, in which the designer reveals a striking taste for luxury through the use of truly innovative materials and exclusive textures, also draws our attention to the fact that the architect knows a lot about designing luxury spaces.
In this Paris apartment, the interiors are designed with attention to detail, combining different spaces, colors, and materials. Everything is combined and confronted following a rhythm that is metered down. For example, the brushed aluminum dominating the entrance blends with the velvet sofas thanks to the moiré effect that gives it texture.
A sophisticated, contemporary but neutral style dominates throughout the house thanks to use of the color gray, also found in the river gravel floor.
According to Dwek, one of the major revolutions in modern architecture, evident in this particular home, involves the thickness of the window frames, now so thin as to be imperceptible and allow the house’s surroundings to flow into all the spaces inside.
About Olivier Dwek
Olivier Dwek’s body of work reflects a rigorous, subtle quest for formal purity, whilst avoiding a cold aesthetic. A virtuoso of volumetrics, an alchemist of light, he shapes interiors that have the aura of a museum and at the same time cultivates a spirit of conviviality, comfort and ergonomic innovation. Fluid, clean lines and perspectives, monumental structures that are mobile or simulate weightlessness, exceptional materials, and original textures, contemporary artworks interacting with space: such are the signatures or hallmarks whose symbiosis results in a timeless, serene, spellbinding elegance.
