Spring season is almost here and March is a month dedicated to honoring women and their accomplishments. Although the interior design industry has an aproximated number of men and women, recognizing women accomplishments is never enough. They all bring different aspects of creativity to the table and are constantly demonstrating what else is possible in design.
In this article, we celebrate some of the accomplishments that these women in interior design have made, as well as how they have changed and continue to change the design world.

Brigette Romanek, based in Los Angeles, is known for her incredible and colorful designs, as well as her ability to meet her clients’ specific requirements. Her beautiful designs create a very balanced aesthetic environment and appear very modern and elegant. Romanek has grown exponentially in the design world and has been named one of Architectural Digest’s top 100 designers as a result of the work she creates in her own Romanek Design Studio.
Kelly Wearstler is a well-known name in the world of interior design. In 1995, she began building her career and brand in Los Angeles. Wearstler is well-known throughout the world for always meeting her clients’ needs and for fusing various design styles into amazing, one-of-a-kind interiors. She was named the “presiding grande dame of West Coast Interior design” by the well-known New Yorker Magazine, and she has expanded her business to include a gallery and online stores.
Kelly Behun, based in New York, has made a name for herself in the world of interior design and has a large portfolio of majestic interiors. She has also collaborated with well-known designers like Andree Putman and Anda Andrei. Behun distinguishes herself by having a keen eye for urban furniture and lighting, and her designs are always both beautiful and functional.
Sarah Kuchar got her start in interior design in an unusual way. Amy Lau has a strong preference for natural materials, which she incorporates into her designs to create beautiful ambiances. Amy Lau has collaborated on notable projects with well-known clients such as Maya Romanoff, S. Harris, Kyle Bunting, and the Kips Bay Decorator Show House.
Tara Bernerd has established herself as a top interior designer by drawing inspiration for her projects from her various travels. Her projects are all one-of-a-kind, and her aesthetic leans toward luxury with an industrial edge. This interior design has a masculine energy mixed with intelligence and timeless elegancy.
