Nobody likes to spend the night in hospital and therefore the Scandinavian cleverly launched a health care news: Patient Hospital, the concept que combines the comforts of a modern, design-led hotel, with the care and wellness elements of a high quality hospital.
Created for patients who live far from their place of treatment and need accommodation for examinations, but are not in absolute need for full hospitalization, this hotel genre straddles two worlds. It is staffed with nurses, ticking the box of healthcare, as well as hotel and nutrition assistants. As every self-respecting 5 star hotels would do – catering thus for their guests’ every need.
The Health Care News is the opening of Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet as Health Care News, designed by Danish Super-studio 3XN.
The Architecture and Design consist of a sculptural building clad stone formed by two overlapping structures V-shaped. This gesture creates two bright central atriums que play a key role in the building’s light and orientation arrangement.
The architectural designs of Hospital matches perfectly with fine dining restaurant that occupies the first three floors of the structure.
Administration offices were created with elegant office interior design and are housed on the top three levels. 74 hotel rooms are comfortable – about 20 square meters in surface, and each has a private balcony.
Construction work for the New Rigshospital will be finished in 2018. The buildings will support the existing status of the hospital as the Danish spearhead, with specialist expert functions in almost all areas. Besides the patient hotel, sterilization centre and car park, a new treatment building – the North Wing – will be built, with 238 private rooms, 33 modern operating theatres, an intensive care department and outpatient departments.
