Last Sunday, we got to witness the 76th edition of the Golden Globes! The HFPA honored the best of film and television of 2018, opening the award season in a very stylish way. One of the most interesting elements of the night was Ken Fulk’s elevator that carried some of the most dazzling stars of the night.
North American designer Ken Fulk is recognized worldwide for his interiors and parties. He has been in the business for over 20 years and has worked in the most varied projects, including homes, restaurants and hotels, being responsible for choreographing weddings, parties and family getaways. His company is based in San Francisco and New York. The designer is responsible for a team of 50 people that include architects, designers, branding and event specialists.
The inspiration for the elevator designed by Fulk was quite clear “We all have elevator fantasies, right? This was my chance to make mine come true (…) Of course, no boring corporate elevator for me. I wanted old world cinematic glamour.” In order to bring the cinematic aspect into life, Fulk had to add custom finishings and vintage touches. He also stated that “The stage was set for mischief and some mystery (…) I think the stars delivered on both counts!“
