Formed over a period of fifty years and acquired from the most renowned antiquaries in London and Paris, this collection of 18th, 19th and early 20th century French decorative art and silver contains some two hundred lots: a mix of pieces derived from French Royal examples of the ancien régime and belle époque creations from Francois Linke. A highlight is the group of approximately forty timepieces spanning the 18th century to the late 19th century; the silver includes a rare and innovative pair of silver-gilt wine coolers by Paul Storr in the form of overflowing flower baskets.
