Inspired by the shapes of a piano and the notes of the artist Nina Simone’s, studio Sputnik designed a new sofa for the spanish brand Missana, that wass added by the brand to their most vanguardistic collection “The Novelties”.

This mid century modern sofa it’s extremely elegant with a very feminine feel and a unique shape. Simone seeks to be the main character in every play, to be the star of the show in every room. The young designers from Sputnik Studio (picture in the end) have taken care of every little detail, carefully studied every curve of the sofa in order to make it attractive to the naked eye from any angle, including its back, Simone does not want to be punished against the wall.

Elegant and flirty, catches the attention of every person in the room, with its back suspended over the seat letting us see the beautiful gap between both parts and the golden metal bars that separate them. Backrest and seat have been upholstered with different colors & texture fabrics, its wooden legs and metal structure gives the whole piece a unique and exotic character. Its light structure, its sensual curves reminds us to a grand piano. No wonder why it borrows its name from the outstanding singer and pianist Nina Simone.
