A + A Cooren took a 2014 chalet renovation as a perfect opportunity to expand their furniture portfolio. The ‘cabinet of curiosities’ design is a blue-painted metal and wood storage and display unit that offers open and closed displays through its clever construction.

Commissioned by artist-collector clients, the cabinet provides a unique location to exhibit their diverse findings.

A + A Cooren is a French-Japanese design studio based in Paris, formed by the pair Aki and Arnaud Cooren. The studio started by drwing lighting but in recent years, they also merged into furniture and interior design. Characterized by a sober and poetic design whose roots are from a subtle blend of Japanese and Nordic inspirations, the studio seeks in each of its projects, to reintegrate nature into everyday objects, as well as in interior architecture.
