When Tristan Auer opened his own design studio in Paris in 2002 there were no lack of amazing projects from boutique (Chanel, Nina Ricci, Lolita Lempicka) and hotel (Les Bains, l’Hôtel du Louvre) interiors to apartments: a slow but sure evolution that propelled him into the most exclusive spheres all over the world. Tristan Auer is responsible for designing private villas and apartments in Paris, New York, London, on the island of Mustique and in Oman. The first design commission since Atelier Tristan Auer became part of the Dallas-based luxury design group, Wilson Associates, resulted in the renovation of a majestic home dating to the early 20th Century, located in the exclusive Parisian suburb of Saint-Cloud. It is first and foremost a home for a busy family with small children and secondly, it is a setting to showcase the family’s substantial contemporary art collection in a chic, comfortable environment. Completed in October of 2016, this is a modern residence that combines a Belle Époque ambiance with a mid-century, minimalist aesthetic.
