Bartolomei and Company is a full-service interior design firm which provides interior and architectural design services, custom design and speciality antiques located in Washington DC, serving an international and national clientele.
Bartolomei & Company Interior Design was created by Lisa Bartolomei, who studied Art and Design in Italy before returning to the University of Maryland to complete her degree in Interior Design. She continued her studies in Fine Art, Architecture and Antiques in England, France and Italy at George Washington University.
Lisa Bartolomei worked for 10 years with large architectural firms, concentrating on commercial interiors (hotels, restaurants, banks, retail stores, health care facilities – for example). As director of Interior Design at Mariani & Assoc. Architects, Lisa Bartolomei led the team designing the interiors for the Leavey Centre at Georgetown University, which beset 5 restaurants, 150 hotel rooms, book stores, travel agencies, ballrooms and offices.
In 1986, she created Bartolomei & Co Interior Design, specialising in full-service interior Design focused on boutique commercial and high-end residential projects. Lisa worked on several condominium projects, the renovation of the Avalon Theatre, law offices and the international headquarters of W. B. Doner Advertising, whilst being the in-house interior design for Kress Cox architects, until 1996.
Lisa Bartolomei’s most recent projects include extensive renovations and Interior Design for four condominiums at the Georgetown Ritz Carlton as well as a complete house renovation in McLean, transforming a Georgian brick home into a stucco Italian-influenced country estate and the complete renovation of a home in Palm Desert, California.
