Andre Fu Studio is no stranger to the world of Interior Design, especially in Asia and Europe where they marked their presence in various hotel projects. Andre Fu Studio or AFSO is an internationally famous design studio in Hong Kong.
According to Fu “The spirit of my design philosophy is about provoking new ways of thinking about what luxury means”. That’s exactly the style he incorporates into his company, Andre Fu Studio, a modern luxury that embodies the culture, art and craftsmanship.

St Regis
St Regis Hong Kong is a luxury hotel with 27 stores located in Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong’s oldest districts. Andre Fu Studio incorporated all the characteristics of this district into the design of the Hotel, from the old police station to the Bauhaus-Style market.
The 129-rooms, 17 which were suites took four years to complete. The idea was to pass the authentic St Regis experience and at the same time express the essence of Hong Kong throughout the hotel.
The upper house
Located in Hong Kong, the upper house is a space that was designed to create a sophisticated and modern “Asian influenced” residence.
Hotel with the homey feeling was the intention here! Being at the same time a Hotel with luxury spaces and at the same time providing all the comforts of a stately home. Using bamboo, lacquered panels, Andre Fu wanted to add a sense of tranquillity and an oriental style.
Artus-K11
Andre Fu Studio turned 287 short and long-term stay residences into amazing interior design spaces. The goal was to design a project with a familiar sense of ease, comfort and privacy. For Fu, it was also about feeling part of a community and share a similar interest in a cultured lifestyle.
INSPIRED BY THE LOOK
The interior space was designed by blending neutrals, earthy, mineral accents and rich textures. So, Lots of leather, sleek lacquer and retro-modernist furnishings were mixed with oriental pieces, and even Persian and ethnic pieces.
Perrotin Shanghai
Perrotin Shanghai in 2018 is the third collaboration between Andre Fu Studio and Perrotin. The first collaboration was in 2012 and the second in 2017.
It is located on the top floor of a historical three-storey building known as the Amber Building. Previously it was a warehouse used by the Central Bank of China. Currently, it is Perrotin’s largest art space in Asia and it includes four unique exhibitions, a private salon with a spacious terrace.
Kerry Hotel
This Hotel with sixteen storeys is located in Victoria Harbor, a premium location in Hong Kong. It is also one of the few hotels built on the Kowloon’s vibrant waterfront. In a city as vibrant as Hong Kong, this space was designed to be not only luxurious but also calming and tranquil.

INSPIRED BY THE LOOK
The IFC Residence
Located in the district of Pudong in Shanghai, it aims to offer modern interior designs, luxury living and five-star accommodation service. AFSO sought to layer a sense of arrival by introducing a sequence of chambers, including the library lounge, the terrace overlooking Lujiazui park, and the intimate living room.
The key design highlights thoughtful the project include the use of intricate materials and textures, distinctive lighting features, and the use of hand-embroidered wall panelling, and a specially commissioned sculpture collection by famous artists.
Hotel the Mitsui Kyoto
Kyoto is a city with a rich culture and at the same time with modern features. The Mitsui Kyoto Hotel is located on the original residence of the Kitake, the executive branch of the Mitsui family.
Andre Fu was inspired by three words namely authentic, mystical and artisanal. Since previously it was the residence of the Kitake, the intention was to pass the sense of heritage, with a contemporary interpretation of Kyoto’s history.
The Waldorf Astoria Hotel
Located in Bangkok, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel blends Thai features with luxury comfort. Its interior was designed based on the original Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City with bronze accents and soaring ceilings.
The hotel offers many amenities, including well-decorated rooms and suites, dining spaces, spa facilities, and meeting and event venues for all occasions.
L’Appartment Louis Vuitton
This amazing space is located in Hong Kong city and Andre Fu Studio had to transform this large private space into a space that could reflect the Louis Vuitton luxury jetsetter’s apartment. It is inspired by Nicolas Ghesquière’s first collection at the Brand and so, it has a natural and timeless colour palette with lush textures.
The Andaz Singapore
In Andaz Singapore, Andre Fu Studio had to work within the framework of the modernist Duo development by German architect Ole Scheeren. To do that, they opted for infusing into the interior design various layers of culture. By doing that, they want to convey relaxed luxury yet captures the vibrant atmosphere of local areas.
As guests explore the hotel, they will experience a strong sense of discovery. The bedroom also has distinctive features and was conceived to be a contemporary bungalow.
