There is no doubt that the Champagne Bar is a focal point of the trade fair Decorex 2015, and this year Russell Sage, renowned in both the interior design and fashion worlds, has agreed to design the centrepiece to this year’s show.
Russell Sage is as talented as he is eccentric. With a design portfolio including The Goring Hotel, a Zetter townhouse, and the Grain Store in King’s Cross, Russell has an unquestionable reputation for impeccable designs with a flamboyant twist. As one of the designers for this year’s Decorex Entrance, Russell will be interpreting Hogarth’s Orgy scene from A Rake’s Progress, and we are truly intrigued as to what this eclectic designer will create.
Russell is keeping the design close to his chest, but in the meantime please see below some of his past projects, to see exactly why we are thrilled that he will be designing this year’s bar.
“I was thrilled to be asked to create this popular space for Decorex. We’ve chosen to collaborate with our Royal holding friends at Gainsborough Silk to really showcase and celebrate a company with over hundred years of skilled craftsmanship, as well as feature a few of its incredible stories of service to some of the greatest buildings and projects in the world. I love to support British craftsmanship and this seemed the perfect opportunity to create something memorable for Decorex guests to enjoy.”
