In today’s article we will give you all the information about the reopening of the London Apple Store after being redesigned by Foster + Partners!
Apple’s flagship in Regent Street, London, will reopen October 15th at 10am (local time) following over one year of major renovations by the top UK architecture company, Foster + Partners. This Apple store was the inaugural store of Apple and now it will be the first one to adopt the new retail format that was unveiled in San Francisco in May.
Take a look at the preview images of how it will be the redesigned London Apple Store!

The new store will be less formulaic and more site-specific especially in a historic building like this one in Regent Street.

In the renovation part, the four Apple logos affixed to the store’s facade in order to allow more natural light inside and preserve the historic look of the building.

Part of the mezzanine level of the Regent Street store has been removed to create a double height grand hall. This will bring more natural light and will reveal the grand arches of the façade.

In collaboration with Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple’s chief design officer, and Angela Ahrendts, VP of retail and online stores, Foster + Partners developed the concept.

“By choosing materials sympathetic to the historic nature of the building, we’re able to modernise the space while remaining authentic to its surrounds.”
