Luxury auto giant Mercedes Benz is venturing into the hospitality market in London, to reapply the current vehicle range and are aimed to attract wealthy businessmen traveling for work.
In partnership with Fraser Suites Kensington, the designers of the Mercedes-Benz Style, have decorated six serviced apartments in Kensington, West London, opening this fall.
The 1,000-square-foot suites have all the luxuries you’d expect in this neighborhood, including magnificent, Swarovski crystal chandelier.
Meant to give occupants “the sense of Mercedes-Benz exclusivity”, evoking modern interior design styles with metallic details, fine finishes, custom furniture and bespoke details are filtered through Benz’s mobile mentality.
The central element of the contemporary interior design is an undulating “Black Magic Wall,” an architectural feature as sleek and shiny as an S-Class sedan. That wall is reminiscent of MB’s recent foray into luxury aircraft interiors, though the longer-haul aspects of apartment living bring the design a little more down to earth.

The wall contains an integrated smart TV with internet connectivity, entertainment options, and plenty of Mercedes-related content provided by the Mercedes me app, just in case you like to map out your next trip or check your ride’s wiper fluid level from your sofa.
That sofa is sculpted of silver velour, and the surround-sound audio is provided by Burmester, as it is in your car, though from a starkly rectilinear console that’s one of the true highlights of the living room design. The rest of the luxury apartment hews to Mercedes-Benz’s design philosophy of “sensual purity,” an aesthetic of clean lines, sweeping curves, and an ever-present contrast between the soft and the shiny. Lighting design echoes the headlamps of modern and classic Benzes, even the coffee table looks fast.
Nine more Mercedes-Benz styled apartments will open next year in Singapore, and more are sure to follow in a continuing partnership between the Benz design studio and the Frasers Hospitality Group.
