Each season, we are presented with the Pantone Fashion Color Trend Report by the Pantone Color Institute. The top colors for Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 were already announced, and this selection is not only present on the runaway of London Fashion Week, but also in all areas of design.
The gathering of the 12 stand-out colors was published by the Pantone Color Institute, together with an additional 4 classic neutrals. Autumn/winter 2019/2020 colors mirror a higher level of color complexity. The palette is sophisticated and strong, that seeks to empower and foment confidence. The colors provide the possibily of endless combinations, these color stories exhibit a mix of nuances and intents to bring to those who wear it, a feeling of freedom so that it becomes possible to create one’s own personalized identity.
“The color story for Autumn/Winter 2019/2020 suggests rich tones, each capable of making a statement but also with a versatility that creates warmth and harmony when paired together,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. “A sophisticated, yet bold collection of colors, this season’s palette exudes confidence and empowerment.”
The colors from London Fashion Week’s runways parallel the colors Pantone highlighted in its New York Fashion Week report. Three blue shades, Bluestone, Evening Blue and Galaxy Blue made appearances in both reports.
