Tree Lighting has a history: for more than eight decades, the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and the Christmas decorations that decorate and surround them have become the season’s badge for New Yorkers and visitors. From the very beginning, the Tree was a gathering place and a reflection of what was happening in the world around it. In the photo, you are seeing the first Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York in 1931.
Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the dazzling Swarovski star of 2018 includes 3 million Swarovski crystals, adorned with 70 triangular spikes.
Don’t forget that Rockefeller Center is the place where you can create lasting memories! You can easily find the best shopping, dining, and festive fun nearby!
The World famous Ice Skating Rink offers exclusive winter experiences that you will cherish for many years. Go and visit one of the most famous sights in New York!

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Rockettes Celebration presented by Chase is exactly that kind of celebration that brings together family, friends and loved ones. Home for the Christmas show is Radio City Music Hall, which has been carefully restored to reflect its original grandeur of the 1930s.
And last but not least, Top of the Rock, one of the most popular New York sightseeing destination. From the snow-covered trees in Central Park to the breathtaking skyline of the city, you will not find such unobstructed views as anywhere else.
Wish you a lovely and unforgettable holiday season!
