Restaurant interior ideas: blending wit and whimsy with moodiness and drama, Bar Margot is the new stylish place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta. There was already a bar before Margot but the luxurious hotel group sought a high design that matched the high standard of service at the hotel. Ford Fry was the Chef selected. He’s not only nominated for a James Beard Award but also a local hero on the Atlanta food scene with an empire with eleven restaurants across the world.

Meyer Davis Studio – founded by Will Meyer and Gray Davis – was the responsible for the incredible design, inspired by The Royal Tenenbaums, a Wes Anderson’s film. The bar owns its name to Margot Tenenbaum, the contradictory, literary genius played by Gwyneth Paltrow in the cult classic.

The goal was to modernize and take risks without compromising the Four Seasons standards. Bring life to the space through bold colors and patterns and create the ambiance of a gentleman’s club with the charm of modern Southern hospitality.

Bar Margot is a stylish and iconic space with a sense of drama and theatrical design moves. It also includes a quirky mix of contemporary art, classic books, statement prints and pops of orange that stands out against a background of smoky greys. The use of upholstered furniture and rich materials helps to create a cozy, club atmosphere.
