When I eat at a restaurant I pay almost as much attention to the decor as to the food. Even if eating at one of these stylish restaurants from all over the world, you can still feast your eyes on their lovely interiors… and take home some decorating ideas for your own space.
The Gallery at Sketch, London
Romantic pink decor and big lamps. A gridlike arrangement of same-sized frames, painted the same color as the wall, is a great way to fill a big space.
Romita Comedor, Mexico City
Black walls and dark woods establish the moody feel of this space, but checkered tile floor and the abundance of plants lighten things up and add a touch of the unexpected. Great floor colors.
Farmshop, Marin County, California
A full-wall mural makes a wonderfully dramatic backdrop for furniture. It almost seems that your are dining on the woods.
The Apartment, a private dining room at Kettner’s, London (photos from Yazter)
One modern piece can really add a whole new dimension to a traditionally-styled interior. And one boldy colored piece of furniture will go a long way towards brightening up a dark room.
Verandah, Copenhagen (photos from GamFratesi)
The color scheme of cool greys and blues, with touches of metalics; oversized plants indoors (a great way to bring texture to a modern interior).
