In a time where so many pins are pinned and so many boards are put up, we look at the best interior design magazines (and their Pinterest inspirations) for answers and for some great decor ideas, too. Away to Pinterest we go.
One of the most underrated boards on Pinterest but also one that jumps out at us immediately is Living With Color. Explosions of yellow, green-filled rooms and even a multi-color painting by Warhol, this album fills us with joy and awe.
We walk over floors every single day, yet we never consider how much the art of flooring can influence our surroundings. Interior Design‘s album “Flooring” seems to answer questions we didn’t know we had about flooring and just gave us a few ideas we can’t wait to try.
MARIE CLAIRE MAISON
From classic, to post-modern, to… futuristic, might we say? What grabbed our attention the most at Marie Claire Maison‘s Pinterest account was the album “Icones du design/Objets design”, where no piece of furniture plays a secondary role. Every single one of them is the star and has been placed in the iconic and timeless category. Some of them have even been considered masterpieces.
Elle Decoration‘s Pinterest’s boards aren’t just inspirations, they are truly specific ideas. Or, rather, inside the boards there are specific articles made by the magazine, so you know it’s not just an inspiration – it’s very real and you can read about it.
“Coin Canapé” or “Couch Corner” is one of the most interesting pins in the Salon (or living-room) board, especially the one about pinks.
Other pin that stood out to us was the one with this classic piece and the chance that all these books might fall over you, should you decide to stand up more quickly than usual.
True inspiration comes in the form of “Seating”, our favorite board over at Azure‘s Pinterest. It’s truly a mix of classic, contemporary, bold and more modest colors. It was hard to pin down our very favorites, but here they are.
Love comes in the form of this love seat in bold red, called Love Papilio.
Classic meets a modern twist with this MyChair, by Walter Knoll.
