5 days for the major London Design Event and if you’re seeking for trendsetters and inspirations in fabrics and wallpapers, Decorex London 2015, is the place to be from the 20th to the 23th of September, exploring the latest contemporary furniture trends!
The new collection from Korla is an exciting mix of contemporary geometrics and painterly designs. The collection’s name, Dalasini, meaning ‘cinnamon’ in Swahili, hints at this season’s colour inspiration. The palette reflects the ancient spice trade routes, using earthy tones, tribal textiles and glazed pottery to create an atmospheric colour story of Aubergine, Brick, Persimmon, Charcoal, Chalk Pink, Celadon and Clay. Here you’ll be able to spot Decorex new collections and furnishings!
The dramatic Alana design leads the collection. Developed by working with inks and watercolour, this is a contemporary interpretation of traditional weave and blocks. The smaller scale Leina design is inspired by hand loomed woven textiles. The collection is 100% made in Britain and printed on beautiful scottish Linen.
Korla sells original and evocative printed interiors textiles and home accessories. The textile and design house was created in 2011 and now has offices in London and Singpaore, distribution agents in America, Australia, Ireland and Canada. Korla was formed to offer a new aesthetic of high design at an approachable price. Finding inspiration from western roots and eastern travels, creating evocative and playful prints on high-quality, natural interior textiles. Bold colours, iconic motifs and strong patterns are coordinated across collections to give customers the ability and courage to mix, match and play with various prints to reflect their personality and taste.
