The interior designer Michael S. Smith was chosen by a Hollywood film executive and his wife, to do the home decor of their Mediterranean-style house with deep Spanish roots, in Santa Monica.

In the sitting room, the decoration is based on the 19th century. The sofa was reupholstered in a fabric by Jasper, and the Napoleon III-style bergère is covered in a Rogers & Goffigon fabric; the inlaid games table is an Anglo-Indian.
The details of the modern interior design in the living room of this home designed by Michael S. Smith are magnificent, the custom-made sofa is upholstered in a Chapas Textiles fabric, the armchairs are Baroque Italian and the cocktail table is by Mattia Bonetti.
The suspension lights are by Soane hang from an oak-paneled ceiling in the gallery; the floor is paved with terra-cotta tiles by Exquisite Surfaces.
Chairs by Jasper surround an antique- wood dining table, there is a 19th-century mirror and also, an antique Persian rug.
Beside the pool, there are the Chaise lounges by David Sutherland and a sofa by the Wicker Works.
In the kitchen, the stools are by BDDW, the pendant lights are by Paul Ferrante, and the ceiling fixtures are by Charles Edwards.
In this library, there is a Portuguese table in the middle of a Custom-made leather-paneled bookcases and a French 1950s chandelier.
The Hollywood executive’s office features a pair of mid-century armchairs upholstered in an Edelman suede, the Khotan rug is from Mansour, and the staircase’s Hispano-Moresque tiles are by Solar Antique Tiles.
In the master bedroom, there is an antique decor, the console tables are Portuguese, and has a four-poster bed which once belonged to Dodie Rosekrans.
In the master bathroom, there are custom-made walnut cabinets.
The courtyard has painted-bronze furniture by Niermann Weeks; the cushions of the chairs are covered in a Rose Tarlow Melrose House fabric and the sofa cushions are in a Duralee fabric; also, there is a cocktail table by Holly Hunt and the floor has terra-cotta tiles.
