Atelier Territoriois a company which deals with urban, architectural and interior design. With an attitude oriented towards the contemporary, they seek a dialectical relationship with the context, strengthening its specification and developing a design response that is always different and adequate.
Atelier Territorio – Carracci School Complex – the idea of the project is based on the precise desire not to create a building in the middle of a park, but a building that is part of the park, that integrates with the context and establishes a dialogue with it. The intervention takes advantage of the slope of the hill to organise, around two functional nuclei, the two educational institutions as bodies of a single plane above ground (completely laid down on the natural slope).
Atelier Territorio – Tiezzi Winery – The new winery fits gently on the west side of the Montalcino hill in an area mainly cultivated with vineyards. Taking advantage of the existing drop, it mostly develops underground, guaranteeing a minimum environmental impact on the context and an internal micro-climate favourable to wine production, aging and storage. The external arrangements guarantee ample room for maneuver both for the means used for production and for the flow of visitors, rationalising the routes so as not to interfere with each other.
Atelier Territorio – Agriturimo Castelgiocondo – The new agriturismo is located in the small village of Castelgiocondo, south-west of the capital in the municipality of Montalcino. The renovation of the building inserts elements of contemporaneity within a historical context of great value, enhancing its formal characteristics and producing a result with a strongly contemporary taste, albeit respectful of the past. The glimpses of the surrounding landscape come forcefully inside the large windows of the spa, creating a scenario of great visual impact.
Atelier Territorio – Vine Cellar – The structure is developed on one level, skilfully mixing the use of cement, steel and Canaletto walnut. A long corridor dominates the plant of the Cellar and acts as a link between the external courtyard and the underground areas. Along this path, the Winery shows the moments that lead to the creation of Luce until the Historical Cellar is revealed. Fulcrum of the project, this last room was imagined as a medieval library covered with Canaletto walnut both in the inlaid floor and in the coffered ceiling, inside another room, slightly larger and with a soft light.
Atelier Territorio – Siro Pacenti Winery – The new winery is located in the northern area of the municipality of Montalcino; largely hypogean, it develops according to a partially basement building where wine-making, ageing and storage take place. In the body adjacent to the entrance, slightly moved higher to accommodate the topography of the hill, there is the tasting and the more public areas of the cellar linked to the reception.
Atelier Territorio develop projects for transforming places through innovative and sustainable architectural solutions with particular attention to technologies related to energy efficiency. They pay much attention both to the design phase and to the realisation phase, committing themselves to the research of materials and ad hoc technical solutions for each project.
Atelier Territorio – Caprili Winery – The new Caprili winery is located near the small village of Tavernelle, south-west of the territory in the Municipality of Montalcino, on the slope of the hill that descends towards the Orcia and Ombrone rivers. The cellar, mainly underground, blends harmoniously with the natural slope creating a hanging garden from which there is a great view of the valley below. The original stone cladding of the place and the offset of the gutter heights ensure that the building fits naturally into the delicate surrounding landscape composed mostly of vineyards and woods.
Atelier Territorio – Pilot Office of the Port – The raising of the building already home to the Pilot Corps of the Port of Ravenna, was necessary to reacquire the view hidden by the new nautical circles. The building had a load-bearing structure that was not suited to supporting an elevation, so it was decided to build the new floor with a steel structure resting on its own foundations. The new artefact incorporates the stylistic features of the nautical world and simulates the control cabin of a ship. The lightness of the structure is emphasised by the widespread use of glass and the almost absence of visible structural elements.
Atelier Territorio – OMC Stand – Rosetti Group – The stand was built for the sector fair OMC (Offshore Mediterranean Conference) – Ravenna. The stand, developed on two floors, was self-produced in the Ravenna plant and simulates a platform anchored on a stormy sea with a planisphere featuring sites and areas of activity of the Rosetti Marino Group. The project arose from the idea of communicating in a simple and immediate way the realisation capacity of the group of companies, their know-how and internationality.
Atelier Territorio – Edison Niguarda – The new Edison Bookstore store set up in the commercial gallery of the Niguarda hospital in Milan, declines the concept studied for the chain of bookcases within a space characterized by large arches. The insertion of the macrostructure of the false ceiling made of sheet metal, composed of fifty-two hanging cubes, on the one hand resolves the offset of the existing ceiling quotas, on the other, allows the integration into a single element of the technical and lighting systems.
Atelier Territorio – Edison Bookcases – Edison bookcases have always stood out for their informal and colorful environment. The concept designed for the renewal of sales points is characterized by the colors and geometric compositions, declined from time to time in a different way.
Atelier Territorio designs projects in which aesthetics is always combined with functionality. They operate in an innovative and unconventional way, knowing that often the best solution is not on the road already travelled.
