Aedas – Ali Center – Located in the rapidly developing area of Hongqiao, this mixed-use project comprises office, hotel and retail programmes. The design balances innovation and cost, creating an impressive solution of an open and ecological urban complex that reflects the characteristics of innovation and high-end business office.
Aedas – China World Trade – Anchoring the CBD is the China World Development which has grown organically over the past 30 years. ‘China World Trade Center Phase 3C Development’ will be the fifth and final phase for this development. Although China World Development is highly visible and recognizable from a distance, when one approaches the masterplan it is evident there is no “Civic Focal Point” or a “front door” to the complex. Phase 3C will be the missing link that will unify the development’s components. The proposal looks at doing this in two complementary approaches. The first is by introducing a “Civic Green” for the entire masterplan, which it now lacks without any continuous open space. Secondly, the proposal wanted to develop a singular, powerful and obvious “front door” to the entire complex.
Aedas – Chongquing Xinhua Bookstore – Chongqing Xinhua Bookstore Group Jiefangbei Book City Mixed-use Project is a dynamic complex that encompasses a sky cultural plaza, retails, apartments, offices and a boutique hotel in the Jiefangbei Central Business District, the heart of downtown Chongqing. Aedas draws design inspiration from an ancient Chinese prose ‘Knowledge brings wealth’ to integrate book with the cultural elements of Chongqing, creating an interactive commercial complex with Xinhua Bookstore sitting at the core of the podium.
Aedas – Corporate Headquarters – Abdul Latif Jameel’s Corporate Headquarters anchors the northwest corner of the 21-hectare new master plan adjacent to a major traffic intersection. It first serves as a vehicle which introduces the old Jeddah to the new. Old adjacent low-rise residential blocks are transitioned and connected to the future master plan. The corner of the site is outlined with an L-shaped hard-edged plaster finished massing that relates to the adjacent context while containing a softer, fluid and lighter structure within the future master plan.
Aedas – Gemdale Changshou Road – The project is located within the inner ring of Shanghai urban city, near the historic Changde Road. It is in close proximity from two metro stations and a planned future green area at the residential zone on the south. The design is inspired by the picturesque Chinese landscape, invoking a sense of nature and a delightful rare pocket of scenery in the bustling city. The dynamic architecture is oriented to maximise open views. The façade forms a gentle ripple towards the main arterial road, whilst a recessed ‘cave’ at the lower part balances the overall massing. The tower is capped by a recessed skirting along its base, which separates and lifts it above the podium.
World’s cities are changing to respond to greater density, connectivity and efficiency. Asia leads in new urban planning strategies and new methods of living. Aedas believes that the world must share its rapidly growing knowledge of the new urbanisation and architectural solutions to the needs of other cities. Aedas’ collegiate global platform for research, idea exchange and creative excellence facilitates the growth of the new urbanisation to provide new sustainable and innovative design solutions.

Aedas – Hong Kong Zhuai Macao – The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port is the entry point into Hong Kong from the 42-kilometre HZMB, which has a strategic purpose to facilitate greater integration between cities around the Pearl River Delta. The port is located on an artificial island of about 150 hectares reclaimed from the open waters, and will serve as a transportation hub and provide clearance facilities for goods and passengers using the bridge, incorporating accommodation for frontline department staffs such as Immigration Department and Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department in the main Passenger Clearance Building (PCB) and over 50 ancillary buildings.
Aedas – Le Architecture – Located in close proximity to the Jilong River and a major highway in Taipei, the site provides an opportunity for a design proposal that redefines Taipei’s rapidly developing skyline. The design for Lè Architecture drew inspiration from the shape of the river pebbles, developing a unique aesthetic concept that conveys the idea of roundness and elegance, as well as strength and character.
Aedas – Shenzhen Airport – Passengers arrive at the heart of the Concourse from the Auto People Mover (APM) station which allows light-filled views up to the roof over. The multi-level retail and food and beverage areas provide a rich variety of environments and areas for passengers, guiding them intuitively towards the departure gates. The roof form over, inspired by the gently curving rivers of the region, further reinforces the flow of the passengers through the concourse. Arriving passengers are orientated to the perimeter of the building allowing them to experience natural diffused daylight as they move toward the APM and onwards to the main terminal.
Aedas – Tapei European School – Located in the beautiful Yangmingshan and adjacent to the famous Taipei Hwa Kang Arts School, the redevelopment of Taipei European School’s senior high school sits on a site totalling 16,030 square metres. The design takes local climatic conditions into account and draws inspiration from Chinese traditional bookcases by creating a series of ‘shells’ on elevation, symbolising the school’s ‘books’ are collected in the cultural ‘bookcases’. The spatial design imitates the local ‘alleys’ to construct public interactive spaces in the school. Landscaped courtyards are designed with reference to the traditional gardens to provide a natural, vivid and unique learning environment.
Aedas – The Heart of Yiwu – Sited on a plot designated for retail and commercial services, the project will combine large-scale retail, dining and entertainment facilities into one urban complex. Additionally, a landscaped square, interior and exterior pedestrian streets and an underground car park will be provided. It aims to offer multiple experiences to visitors by integrating shopping, food and beverage, cultural and leisure activities into one destination.
Above everything, they place creativity and creative thinking. Aedas provides an inspiring environment to their most talented designers to deliver solutions that create a positive impact in the communities they are intended for.
