Get Inspired by the Best Moments at Paris Fashion Week 2017

After London, and Milan, Paris was the next city for another Fashion Week. Paris Fashion week marks this way the end of the bi-annual fashionable time, where fashion influences the world with many shows and what everybody will be wearing next season. This season, Paris Fashion Week 2017 happened from Tuesday 28th February until Wednesday 8th March and in this post, we bring you all of the memorable moments from Paris Fashion Week and the best designer names: Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Balmain, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Céline, Valentino, Ellie Saab, Hermés and Chanel. Starting with Saint Laurent show where everything screamed about the 1980s. The designer Anthony Vaccarello embraced and reformed French elegance in a youthful way.

The boots in squishy leather were one of the highlights of the collection.

For the Lanvin show, Bouchra Jarrar focused on pretty evening wear with a lesser nod to mannish tailoring. The Parisien look was very present and the collection had a scattering of “masculine meets feminine look”.

Olivier Rousteing delivered to Balmain show an excessive but compelling show full of raw energy and some animal magic.

The Balmain designer has created an erupting volcano in fashion, making clothes that are dramatic and sexy at the same time.

Women attitude with feisty female clothes was very present at the Christian Dior runaway.

Navy blue was everywhere on the smart tailored clothes with forceful feminist stride reflecting the spirit of the new female designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The haunting story of the classic ballet Giselle inspired a romantic Elie Saab collection. The purple was in all its lush richness, spread over the collection, challenging the dominance of black.

Cristóbal’s silhouettes with surges of modern colour, print and volume were present at Balenciaga show.

The polka dot dress with bustle back was one of the grand offerings from the collection.

The bold, floor-length tailored coat, a tuxedo with its hemline sweeping right down to the ankle and a oversized tailoring were the key pieces of Céline fall collection.

“We are all romantics” – Valentino show brought a new vision of romance for the digital era.

This year the major show at Fashion Week was Chanel. The models walked out of a space station-looking hut like straight out of the space. The clothes, these are undeniably Chanel style and Karl Lagerfeld took the audience on a space oddity.
