Restaurant Interior Ideas: with an incredible interior design, Song Qi was the first Chinese fine dining restaurant in Monte-Carlo. Located on Monaco’s Avenue Princesse Grace, one of the most expensive avenues in the world, and with Alan Yau as the Michelin-chef, this restaurant is a must-visit not only to enjoy its delicious seafood but also because of its glamorous and dramatic interiors. The food, the ambience, and its interiors are all shouting sophistication.
Decorated by Paris-based architects Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet, the space has a glamorous vibe that resembles a Gatsby movie. Full of Art Deco appointments, it creates a dramatic atmosphere by mixing black, gold and pop of lime green in a fantastic combination. The tables are in black and white marble which brings even more elegance and glamour to the space. Song Qi decor is the perfect combination of modernity, luxury and timelessness that reflects the Chinese gastronomy spirit.
The combination between colors and materials is astonishing. “The decor is contemporary, but there’s a hint of chinoiserie in the crackled black-lacquer walls and brass accents,” says local architect Emil Humbert, whose firm, Humbert & Poyet, oversaw the interior design and were able to give the restaurant a contemporary twist while representing the traditions of China.
If you’re a food and interior design lover, this is certainly one of the restaurants in Monaco you need to visit!
