Paris truly deserves its reputation as the most romantic city in the world. But that’s not all. Paris is also the home of great food and boasts a plethora of restaurants from traditional bistros to smart, trendy restaurants and Michelin-starred establishments. And with great food, come beautiful restaurant interiors.
Here is a list of 6 new places to eat in Paris for design inspiration.

Canard et Champagne
Address: 57 Passage des Panoramas
Restaurateur Pierre Dutaret and Jean Valfort teamed up to bring back affordable gourmet dining. Squeezed up next to a stamp collector’s boutique (what the Passage was traditionally known for), the restaurant stands out with its gorgeous carved wood frontage. Inside it is more minimalist, with a huge copy of a scene from the film ‘Le Grand Restaurant’ on one wall.
Eugène-Eugène
Address: 38-40 Rue Eugène Eichenberger, Puteaux
Located in Puteaux, an area just outside of Paris, Eugène-Eugène is not hard to miss, for it occupies an imposing glass and metal structure, which used to be a commercial greenhouse. Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier of local outfit Studio KO, made sure lush greenery is dotted throughout the room, while hanging pot plants preside over a central green marble bar. This is surrounded by various seating areas to include cosy niches with low bamboo sofas and seagrass rugs, a private dining alcove and covered open outdoor terraces.
L’Alcazar
Address: 62 rue Mazarine
The stylish, L’Alcazar is a favourite with the art world by day, and a funky bar and club by night, Paris’ Left-Bank institution in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, has just emerged from a makeover. Lush greenery and hanging plants from the mezzanine balcony, dominate the ground floor, where classic thonet chairs, marble table tops and mustard banquettes are bathed in swathes of light from the skylight above.
Le Bistro de l’Arc, Paris
Address: 11 avenue de la Grande Armée
Located just steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de l’Etoile, Le Bistro de l’Arc is open every day from 7am to midnight. In a warm decor, this is undoubtedly the new appointment of gourmets. Designer Sophie Jacqmin’s slick interiors accurately express El Khoury’s larger-than-life personality from the standout brass Botti chandelier to the the ceiling integrating inspirational quotes from his heroes Winston Churchill, Marcel Proust and Kahlil Gibran, while framed tributes to celebrated New York club, Birdland reflect his love of jazz.
Manko
Address: 15 avenue Montaigne
Located inside the former Drouot Auction House, the new Moma Group Restaurant opened its doors. Never would have the magnificient Avenue in the ‘Triangle d’Or’ hosted a place as predestined and as well-named. Called Manko in honor of the legendary Inca Manco Capac, son of the Sun God, founder of the Inca people. Laura Gonzalez, designed this restaurant in Paris. Gilt mixed with warm elegant colors, noble materials (floor tiles, patinated sconces, tables and chairs made out of precious Wood, brass metalwork & gold patina), everything has been done to honor all expectations. Everything collided perfectly into a modern interior design.
Le Thiou
Address: 94 Boulevard de la Tour Maubourg
Laura Gonzalez was also responsible for creating an intimate dining room, when Madame Thiou decided to relocate her eponymous restaurant from the Quai d’Orsay to a residential address in the same area. The designer decided to line the walls with pale raw oak and furnish the room with understated velvet chairs, cocooning terracotta leather banquettes and elegant tabletop lamps. True interior design inspiration. Definitely one of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in the City of Light.
