Sanya Marriott Hotel Dadonghai Bay
Located by the beautiful Sanya, DaDong District ocean side, the unique location of this hotel provides a visual and spiritual bounty for the incoming guest. This new expansion for the Sanya Marriott Hotel will act as a cultural and physical bridge to the existing hotel. Overlooking the ocean, this five-star property will be operated by the world renowned hotel operator, HBA hospitality, as their signature hotel by the DaDong Sea.
Singapore herself was the muse for Marriott‘s restyling of the iconic Singapore Marriott Hotel in Orchard Road. The new look required an ‘east-meets-west’ blend introducing modern interiors to existing Chinese architectural influences, including a pagoda rooftop and an abundance of Chinese motifs. HBA hospitality brief was to re-furbish the lobby, sidewalk Crossroad Café, re-design all-day venue Marriott Café and create a new F&B venue named Java+ and restyle guestrooms and suites, while adding Studio accommodation.
Saraya Gallery at Cairo Marriott Hotel
The Saraya Gallery – housed in the Cairo Marriott Egypt – was the palace originally built for Princess Eugenie, the wife of Napolean III, to accommodate her during her trip to Egypt for the opening ceremony of the Suez Canal. With that in mind, the five star hotel in Cairo, appointed to resurrect the royal tale through the renovation of one of its old restaurants to its former Ottoman glory. During the renovation of Saraya Gallery, sought to keep the style of the Cairo restaurant authentic and similar to the original palace.
Al Gezira palace was carefully designed to relay strong French influences all over the structure, carefully mixing European and Ottoman influences to result in an elegant, sophisticated yet comfortable scene. HBA hospitality wanted to bring back the palace’s former glory and create wonderfully dramatic and intimate spaces throughout Saraya Gallery’s grand high rooms.
JW Marriott Hotel Beijing
Firmly established as one of the leading design firms in China, helped reshape the hospitality landscape in the capitol city and ushered in a new standard of interior luxury in several of these internationally branded showcase properties, including the JW Marriott Beijing on Jianguo Road. Designed by architects Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, WATG, the 20 story, 549-room contemporary hotel anchors the new and prestigious China Central Place, a mixed use commercial and residential urban center in the heart of the Beijing business district.
While most other structures in Beijing are outwardly oriented to the street, the challenge for WATG and/Hirsch Bedner’s team in the WHAT office was to create an avant-garde hotel that appeals to a younger generation of travelers as well as attracts the pedestrian traffic for the high end dining and shopping destination.
JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen
Blended Chinese architectural influences with bold contemporary style to capture the sophisticated luxury embodied in the JW Marriott Shenzhen. The design of this luxury hotel plays on the tradition of layering juxtaposed by the strong axis of architectural lines.
