Hotel Interior Design: George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg of international design firm Yabu Pushelberg have been creating distinctive signature environments for high-profile clientele and luxury retail, hospitality, residential and restaurant brands around the world, for over thirty three years.
Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto features well-appointed guest rooms with contemporary accents styled in a light and warm colour palette. This chic yet welcoming aesthetic is complemented throughout the Hotel by carefully curated art that offers a tasteful nod to the Hotel’s Canadian heritage.
The guest rooms have been created with both the leisure and business traveller in mind and are amongst the most spacious in Toronto. Dining at dbar and Café Boulud is top-notch, and the new Spa is the largest in the city and in any Four Seasons hotel worldwide.
Café Boulud, by Chef Daniel Boulud, serves a menu inspired by Chef Daniel’s family’s meals in Lyon. The kitchen boasts a gleaming rotisserie—the only one of its kind in downtown Toronto—with both vertical and horizontal spits allowing for simultaneous cooking of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. The menu features the best French classics, as well as unexpected items inspired by Chef Daniel’s curiosity and love for travel.
Capturing the sophistication and glamour of Yorkville, d|bar’s contemporary design features spectacular 6-metre-tall (20-foot-tall) floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious seasonal terrace. This lively street-level lounge is the perfect place for a cocktail before or after your meal, or make dbar the evening’s destination and choose from a menu of casual fare that’s ideal for sharing.
Aesthetically simple and serene, the Spa, our sun-filled urban luxury retreat, is among the largest in Toronto, with over 2,787 square metres (30,000 square feet) of space to relax. The Spa offers 17 spacious treatment rooms, two steam rooms, and a salon.
Known for their thoughtful and “anything is possible” approach to design, their passion for experimenting with new materials and forging relationships with independent artisans helps Yabu Pushelberg to defy conventional aesthetics and transcend design trends.
