Piero Fornasetti was an Italian artist, sculptor and designer that lived 100 years ago. His inspiration came from Lina Cavalieri, an opera singer, that in her time was considered the most beautiful woman in the world. She is repeatedly featured in his creations, on plates, vases, various objects and wallpapers. Often portrayed in black and white and occasionally accessorized with strong colours like red or yellow.
