“More than a hotel, Castelbrac is a place of memory and healing, facing the sea and sky.” With these beautiful words, we introduce you to the striking Castelbrac Dinard Hotel Interior Design, in which Brabbu pieces were included. It is a 25-room hotel settled in a 19th century villa that became a marine research station and aquarium back in 1934. It is now a luxurious 5 start hotel full of history that will certainly inspire you!
This stunning hotel interior was designed by Sandra Benhamou. Based in France, she started her career in international film distribution but soon realized that interior design was her true passion. Known for preserving the authenticity of the places while creating a separate universe full of character, one of her biggest projects was to design the Castelbrac Dinard Hotel which turned out fantastic. She not only decorated the space but also designed most of the furniture pieces!
In this project you can see how the designer played with rich colors, textures and materials, designing strong furniture pieces that create a quirky and inviting environment. Benhamou gave a feminine counterpoint and a modern twist to the architecture of William Faber and Colonel Hamilton.
The “Aquarium Bar”, built within the aquarium, is where you can see Brabbu‘s pieces: the stunning KOI center table. Koi carp is a recurring symbol of Japanese culture, highly appreciated by its decorative purposes. The Koi scales from the sides of the table’ shine and reflect – on its brass surface – the sun caught throughout the clear water. Koi and the Japanese word for love or affection are homophones, making the carp also a symbol of love and friendship.
