The city of Paris is famous for its indulgence, design and cuisine. Also known as the city of love, millions of passionate couples visit the french capital every year. Design lovers also elect it as the perfect oasis for a vacay fulfilled with good taste. But when planning these vacations, you may wonder: where to stay in Paris since there are so many beautiful places? Well, given the beauty of this Hotel interior, we suggest l’Hôtel da Vinci. Take a look.
Located in a bustling street of stores, this upscale Renaissance-inspired hotel is 6 minutes’ walk from the Saint-Germain-des-Prés metro station and 8 minutes’ walk from the Musée du Louvre. The top floor houses one of the most mysterious rooms in Paris, while the lower ground floor is home to another highly confidential spot.
The lobby of Hotel da Vinci offers a cosy space, where visitors are invited to drink a hot cup of coffee by the fireplace, during winter days. Velvet, marble, and golden materials make the decor. Two comfortable armchairs by BRABBU, one on each side of the fireplace, make this a home-like place. The overall hotel design is actually very cosy and makes people feel at home.
Honouring the traditional french interior design, the invitingly comfortable rooms are decorated in a style that takes in a great many references, such as a highly typical chair, or a dressing room with curved features, reminiscent of the wardrobes of the period. These elegant rooms with wall murals offer balconies, inviting guests to see the beautiful views over the city.
Throughout the several spaces, we can find art and design inspiration. For instance, the Monna Lisa room, situated on the ground floor, takes us on a journey to Leonardo da Vinci’s innermost world. This is one of the hotel’s most charming rooms, with its pleasant terrace overlooking the hotel’s patio, a haven of peace and quiet.
This is one of the Médicis rooms. At the head of the bed, there are frescoes inspired taken from one of da Vinci’s earliest works, “Madonna of the Carnation”. The rooms’ colour scheme blends in harmoniously with a color palette of the famous canvas, while magnificent Venetian mirrors add to the charm of their unique feel.
The relaxation area, situated on the lower ground floor, is arranged around a mosaic-lined pool that reproduces the colours used by Leonardo da Vinci to paint the Gioconda. The star-studded arch creates a perfect cocoon for ultimate relaxation.
