One of the names that pops out of the 2017 AD 100 list of the world’s renowned names in the interior design and architecture industry is Victoria Hagan. And why wouldn’t she be? Found in the American Beauties collection, the designer is known for her refined taste and her incredible interior design inspiration.

Famous for her intelligent integration of architecture and interior design, the designer says that the secret is in the use of our senses. “It’s the listening and the seeing and the feeling—it’s all about the senses” she clarifies during an interview.

Calm and iconic, her decorating ideas reflect on the image of the New American Classic style. A modern sense of luxury combined with an intelligent use of proportion and dexterous mishmashes of materials and textures. From country homes to elegant city residences, from hospitality to commercial projects, her firm has a range of services that goes from architecture, lighting design, landscape design, construction to project management.

Quietly elegant and joyfully up-to-date, Hagan secretly shares her aim in modern interior design is to find balance. “So much of what I do is about how people live, and I am always looking for balance… We all strive for perfection, but ultimately I think perfection is overrated”.

In the end, the secret to a fabulous home decor, she says, are our natural surroundings. “I find inspiration in nature, especially colors. Because I travel a lot, I am often in the sky, and I get very inspired by the clouds and the different qualities of light”.
