BRABBU, a fierce design brand that travels the world inspiring itself in the most unique cultures and places and bringing them into exquisite interiors through elegant design pieces. Maison Valentina, a luxury design brand dedicated to bathrooms interior design that was created in 2014 by the same company that distributes BRABBU’s designs in Europe – Menina Design Group. It resulted from a gap identified in the interior design industry which was the miss of statement pieces for bathrooms.
For the debut of Maison Valentina, its collection was mainly inspired in different pieces from the partner brands Boca do Lobo, DelightFULL, BRABBU and Koket.
Originally created for BRABBU, the KOI Collection is one the brand’s most iconic families of pieces. Naturally it came out as a possibility as well to use the same inspiration for some pieces of Maison Valentina’s collection. That’s where the two brands meet one another.
Despite having different design styles BRABBU and Maison Valentina have the KOI Collection in common. Therefore, professionals can use the same inspiration for the project overall. The brands are teaming up to help professionals creating harmonious and unique styled interiors.
KOI Carp, the inspiration of the collections is a recurring symbol of Japanese culture, highly appreciated by its decorative purposes, not only in water gardens but also in Irezumi practice or, most commonly, in tattoos. Its natural colour mutations reveal their capacity to adapt, just like the set of KOI pieces finishes that can be chosen to better fit each ambience. The KOI scales from the sides of the pieces shine and reflect – on its brass surface – the sun caught throughout the clear water. KOI and the Japanese word for love or affection are homophones, making the carp also a symbol of love and friendship.
