The H\u00f4tel de Crillon<\/strong><\/em> in Paris is a historic luxury hotel<\/strong><\/em>, a stone palace on the Place de la Concorde, first opened in 1909 \u2014 in a building dating to 1758. After an extensive renovation of four years, the hotel reopened on the 5th July 2017, managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and decorated by Chahan Minassian<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

With 78 rooms, 36 suites, 10 Signature Suites, a gastronomic restaurant, brasserie, bar, spa, hair salon, and barber shop on the premises. \u201cI like the idea of a slightly theatrical arrival,\u201d says Chahan Minassian, one of the three interior designers working alongside artistic director Aline d\u2019Amman and architect Richard Martinet for the renovation. Above we can see the designers took this idea to the next level, making sure this beautiful view would mark the guests\u2019 experience in the hotel. It\u2019s the Bernstein Suite overlook over the Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n

The hotel was made distinctive in its approach to hospitality as an equally modern but much more discrete h\u00f4tel particulier<\/em> \u2014 a grand private residence. After the renovation, smaller rooms with low tables and classically minded contemporary furnishings provide the feeling of being in a well-dressed home.<\/p>\n

Tea is served in the Jardin d\u2019Hiver, a place that takes its aubergine theme from the original light fixtures dressed with amethyst drops. Here, the elephant in the room is Baccarat, designed in 1878.<\/p>\n

The social parade is something of a tradition for the Crillon, and for that reason, in the various public spaces on the hotel\u2019s ground floor, guests can \u201csit with privacy, yet see and be seen.\u201d For example, the brasserie offers outdoor seating in the \u201cCour d\u2019Honneur.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hotel, which has attracted celebrity guests over the decades including Winston Churchill, Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Madonna, was originally built in 1758. A twin building also overlooks the emblematic Place de la Concorde.<\/p>\n

About Chahan Minassian<\/strong>
\nChahan Minassian is an interior designer and gallery director who, after studying interior design in Paris, joined the prestigious firm of Ralph Lauren where, for seven years, he was the creative director for Europe. In 1993, he created his own agency, Chahan Interior Design, rapidly attracting commissions from all over the world.<\/p>\n

His style is a subtle, enigmatic sophistication, drawing on luxurious materials such as lacquer, bronze, eel skin, and tortoiseshell. His designs reflect a passion for exotic ambience and space, beautiful modern interior design.<\/p>\n

Combining the typical French interior design trends with a global overview, Chahan Minassian succeeds at playing with style and materials. The interiors he designs has a warm, voluptuous opulence and surely that was the key that made him sign striking projects throughout the world and become a trendsetter in the interior design industry.<\/p>\n
