Commissioned by the society portrait painter James Rannie Swinton in the late 1850s and thought to be the first purpose-built artist\u2019s studio in London, this beautiful house was designed with impressive proportions to cultivate wealthy patrons. Some years later, it has been reimagined as a generous twenty-first-century family home, but one that also blurs the boundaries between stage and sanctuary, professional and private lives. The decorating theme according Uniacke is \u201cmonastery meets Venetian palazzo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nThe house is a residence place of Uniacke and she lives here with her husband, David Heyman, a film producer that includes the Harry Potter film \u201cFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them\u201d and their eight-year-old son, Harper.<\/p>\n

Uniacke recently completed jobs including a West Coast house furnished with a significant collection of twentieth-century furniture; an eighteenth-century London town house as the company HQ for perfumer Jo Malone; and Mount Stuart, the flamboyant Victorian Gothic Revival party palace owned by the Marquess of Bute.<\/p>\n

\nAlso se is very famous for her works with celebrities such Peter Morgan, screenwriter of The Crown <\/em>and beloved by David and Victoria Beckham, rsponsable for finishing their Holland Park mansion renovation estimated in $6 million.<\/p>\n

Her recently and future work includes other famous projects renovations like a beach house on the west coast of France for a surf loving celebrity, a constructed modern residence in the South of France for a musician, and the refurbishment of a luxury train that runs through the Scottish Highlands.<\/p>\n

The interior designer<\/strong> studied philosophy at University College London, and then went to work in a furniture-restoration workshop. Later, she moving to France in the mid-nineties with her first husband and bought the premises for her own shop and design studio when Harper was born.<\/p>\n

Her house have a constantly changing collection of furniture and textiles, revealing her wide-ranging tastes, from early English to twentieth-century French and Scandinavian, from Imperial Chinese to Regency and Arts and Crafts, alongside Uniacke\u2019s own furniture collection of sculptural marble tables, sofas, and lighting.<\/p>\n

\nThe house decoration<\/strong> reflects simplicity and strength with natural materials, muted colors, warm textures and good craftsmanship.
