In today\u2019s article we will give you all the information about the reopening of the London Apple Store<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0after being\u00a0redesigned by Foster + Partners<\/strong><\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s flagship in Regent Street, London, will reopen October 15th at 10am (local time)\u00a0following over one year of major renovations by the top UK architecture company<\/strong><\/em>, Foster + Partners<\/strong><\/em>. This Apple store was the inaugural store of Apple and now it will be the first one to adopt the new retail format that\u00a0was\u00a0unveiled in San Francisco in May.<\/p>\n

The new store will be\u00a0less formulaic and more site-specific especially in a historic building like this one in Regent Street.<\/p>\n

In the renovation part, the\u00a0four Apple logos affixed to the store\u2019s facade in order to allow more natural light inside and preserve the historic look of the building.<\/p>\n

Part of the mezzanine level of the Regent Street store has been removed to create a double height grand hall. This will bring more natural light and will\u00a0reveal the grand arches of the fa\u00e7ade.<\/p>\n

In collaboration with\u00a0Sir Jonathan Ive, Apple\u2019s chief design officer, and Angela Ahrendts, VP of retail and online stores,\u00a0Foster + Partners developed the concept.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy choosing materials sympathetic to the historic nature of the building, we\u2019re able to modernise the space while remaining authentic to its surrounds.\u201d<\/p>\n
