This September sees the Bulgari Hotel<\/strong><\/em> continue its relationship with the design world during the London Design Festival 2016<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. Juxtaposing calm and chaotic, Morag Myerscough & Luke Morgan have responded to the elegant and tranquil hotel lobby with a highly visible and playful disruption. What better than this? The Sign Machine is a kinetic installation and is a response to the \u201ccrowdsourced product wall\u201d soon to be unveiled in the Designer Maker User permanent exhibition designed by Studio Myerscough at the new home of the Design Musuem here in Kensington, opening on 24 November 2016. The machine uses some of the products from the wall and opens a dialogue between the user and the components of the structure and its surroundings. Users are able to sit in the machine and turn a series of rods to control signs that brandish bold simple messaging, causing objetcts and signs to interact with one another creating wider statements.<\/p>\n

Myerscough\u2019s eclectic stream of work spans exhibitions, structural installations, art and design projects in public spaces, schools, hospitals in the UK and overseas and, as with all Myerscough & Morgna\u2019s work, this project (curated by Sarah Miller and Partners) aims to build community and identity through engaging places and spaces, introducing colour and narrative to the built environment.<\/p>\n
