After a two-year restoration, a new boutique hotel<\/strong><\/em> has opened in the 2nd arrondissement,\u00a0in Paris: The Saint-Marc. Originally a townhouse built in 1791, the renovated building now combines Art Deco design<\/strong><\/em> elements with the colourful glamour of the 1970s. The hotel interiors<\/strong><\/em> are bold and stunningly fresh. Responsible for the successful mix of styles are Milanese designers Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, founders of Dimore Studio.<\/p>\n

Starting right from the lobby area, we can see that the designers\u2019 first interest was to give the space an old-age glamor, luxurious materials, and light.\u00a0Beyond the welcoming surroundings of its lobby, the Hotel Saint-Marc offers a succession of lounges of generous size, exclusively dedicated to the visitor\u2019s relaxation.<\/p>\n

The largest of these is a space defined by boldly graphic lines and hung with light fittings of glass and polished brass, suspended above coffee tables and comfortable chairs.<\/p>\n

The dining area offers comfort, with beautiful velvet seatings. The Italian designers have combined modern furnishings with antiques, for an effect that\u2019s truly theatrical.<\/p>\n

The hotel has 25 rooms and a suite, and they all were designed as luxurious apartments. The bedrooms\u2019 decor comprises bold graphics with vintage florals.<\/p>\n

The rooms are available in six different designs, with six dominant colours: sky blue, petrol green, pink, burgundy, mustard yellow, and fir tree green. Also, they all were furnished with vintage furniture, contemporary objects, colourful carpets, ornamental wallpaper and countless works of art.<\/p>\n

This boutique hotel in Paris truly brings us the Parisian style: bold Art Deco-inspired palm-print drapes and dressing tables, burnt orange sofas, Louis de Poortere rugs, Fontana Arte and Flos lamps, and Borsani brass headboards.<\/p>\n

Using noble materials arranged in an Art Deco style with contemporary accents, these rooms offer an elegance that is refined, yet warm and welcoming, enhanced still further by objects designed by the artisans of Murano, as well as furniture that is either custom made or modified by Dimore Studio.<\/p>\n
