Any design lover who plans a trip to the french capital, has some trouble setting a limited list of places to go or things to do in the city. But maybe the hardest part is defining where to stay in Paris<\/strong><\/em>, since there are so many beautiful hotels, designed by la cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me<\/em> in the interior design industry. To make the choosing process even harder, now Doroth\u00e9e Meilichzon<\/strong><\/em> designed the Hotel Panache.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/a><\/p>\n

A true perfectionist, and with a researcher\u2019s mind, Doroth\u00e9e is always seeking out new trends, and takes her inspiration from everything around her. Tirelessly, Doroth\u00e9e trawls through junk shops and flea markets in search of objects that carry memories, which she then interprets with a touch of humour and irony.<\/p>\n

Finally, she puts the finishing touches to her historically charged decor with a few contemporary pieces, often from small craft collections. This time around she has teamed up once again with Adrien Gloaguen \u2013 the man behind Paris\u2019 charming Hotel Paradis \u2013 to launch a second hit three-star hotel.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/a><\/p>\n

The Hotel Panache is located in the 10th arrondissement, on the right bank of the River Seine, and comes with 40 bizarrely configured rooms, unwittingly giving the property its stand-out charm.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/a><\/p>\n

Doroth\u00e9e Meilichzon has smartly made the most of the curved walls, tight angles and irregular alcoves with carefully placed furnishings and art deco-style bevelled-edge mirrors that are a departure from her usual retro style.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/a><\/p>\n

In the guest rooms, trademark knotted wrought iron headboards feature, while wacky wallpaper takes centre stage.<\/p>\n

\"Where<\/a><\/p>\n

What this project tells us is: refusing to easy repetition, Doroth\u00e9e Meilichzon, inspired by the Flatiron Building in New York, monument in terms of corner building, prints on the walls geometric rhythms, asserts her with arrows, scatters its shots heart, plays with lines laying a carpet patterned mini triangles, and shuffleboard games with its amazing mirrors on offices and nightstands. A new modernity tinged with a slight retro parigot.<\/p>\n
