Developed in partnership with chinese developer Vanke\u00a0and Aby Rosen of RFR, the elegant building created by famous architects, \u00a0Foster Partners<\/a><\/strong><\/em> explores the dynamic between its urban side\u00a0and its skyline.\u00a0In the spirit of Mies\u2019s philosophy of rationality, simplicity and clarity, this luxury condo has a slender, minimalist geometric form, designed to complement and fit these distinguished neighbors.<\/p>\n

Formally, it responds to the precedent set by two neighboring twentieth-century modernist icons \u2013\u00a0som\u2019s 21-storey lever house of 1952 and mies van der rohe\u2019s 38-storey seagram building of 1958. Access is decided\u00a0by a recess beneath a canopy that sits harmoniously alongside the entrance and pavilion of the seagram building. The entry sequence continues on a single plane from the street to announce\u00a0a glazed atrium that joins the tower to a smaller building on the right.<\/p>\n

The smaller building has\u00a0a bar and restaurant, a spa and swimming pool. To preserve the appearance of the facade, opening vents in the glazing flap discreetly inwards.
