The Dutch brand Rewrap changes completely the way the world thinks of sustainable design.
\nThe Design News<\/a> is, a totally biodegradable Bag introduced at Dutch Design Week 2015.<\/p>\n

The bag while focusing on functionality and not careless style uses a palette of original material, all natural, making this product as a concept design, creative, distinctive and with a very sophisticated aesthetic.<\/p>\n

Base material:
\nCoconut fibers, extracted from the shell of coconuts, this is a completely natural by-product of the food industry.
\nNatural, sun-dried latex is used to keep the fibers together and as a soft skin on the inside of the bag that makes it waterproof. The latex used is sun-cured and hygienic, non-toxic, non carcinogenic, hypo-allergenic and biodegradable.<\/p>\n

Closure and handle:
\nThe special closure and the handle are made of FSC certified Walnut wood. Pure nature<\/a>, a beautiful material with a lovely feel to the hand. The wood is treated with a thin layer of beeswax to make it more resistant to water.<\/p>\n

Sewing thread:
\nThe thread that is used for the assembly of the bag is made from 100% wood pulp. This is more sustainable than a normal thread because less water is consumed to grow and process the material.

In its entirety, the brand has designed a 100% natural product with no toxic, and can be composted safely at the end of his long life.

The objective was to make a bag, for business and private use, so with enough room for a laptop and some paperwork.
