For the third year running Fine Cell Work<\/a><\/strong> is the official charity partner of Decorex 2015<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0which reflects\u00a0how highly regarded it is by interior designers. \u00a0This is one of the\u00a0Decorex 2015\u00a0news<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>that the news page has been releasing in the last days, <\/b>this one with\u00a0Fine Cell Work\u00a0announcing\u00a0two new exciting collaborations launched on stand C18.<\/p>\n

Each year Decorex nominates a charity who\u2019s cause they support and believes in, to work with them\u00a0at the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year we are working in partnership with unique social enterprise Fine Cell Work, who train prisoners in paid, skilled, creative needlework to foster hope, discipline and self-esteem for those serving time on the inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

About Fine Cell Work<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201dFine Cell Work is a charity that trains prisoners to do high quality, commercial needlework in their cells and textiles training in prison workshops to foster hope, discipline and employability.\u00a0 We have a workforce of\u00a0250 prisoners across 30 prisons and have sold to many of Britain\u2019s top interior designers.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This year at Decorex, we are delighted to be launching two new collaborations \u2013 the Hemingway Collection, designed for us by Wayne and Corey Hemingway and a cushion designed by Spanish street artist, Nuria Mora.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Hemingway Collection\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The artist daughter of Wayne and Gerardine,\u00a0Corey Hemingway, \u00a0is delighted to support Fine Cell Work.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Hemingway Design we\u2019ve a mantra that \u2018design is about improving things that matter in life\u2019 and this project does just that, helping prisoners develop skills that can help them in their future lives. With Fine Cell Work overseeing this, the product becomes highly desirable. WIN WIN for everybody.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Wayne and Corey Hemingway designed fashionable cushions and bags in a modern palette.\u00a0 The Hemingway Collection comprises Spotty Scribble Cushion in yellow and blue (\u00a395); Plaid cushion in yellow, blue and black; (\u00a395) Spotty Scribble Bag with leather handle in yellow and blue (\u00a340); Plaid Bag with canvas handle in yellow and black (\u00a330).<\/p>\n

Nuria Mora Geometric cushion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nuria Mora<\/a>, spanish street artist, \u00a0has designed a colourful hand-stitched wool cushion for Fine Cell Work.\u00a0 Known for her vibrant murals that give life to walls, she now brings her vibrancy to the Nuria Mora cushion that will brighten up any interiors. \u00a0Price \u00a3115 and dimensions 43 x 43cm.<\/p>\n

\u2018\u201dDecorex lets us to showcase our work to the world\u2019s leading interior designers. It has led to superb collaborations with top interior designers such as Kit Kemp, John Stefanidis and Ben Pentreath, as well as commissions from luxury hotels, the most recent being Sopwell House.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Fine Cell Work trains prisoners in paid, skilled, creative needlework undertaken in the long hours spent in their cells to foster hope, discipline and self esteem. This helps them to connect to society and to leave prison with the confidence and financial means to stop offending.<\/p>\n

Their Vision is\u00a0to build Fine Cell Work as a sustainable charity with the prisoners as stakeholders in the enterprise. We are aiming to become more embedded in the prison system and to guide prisoners towards formal work training and qualifications and to match them up with organisations that can provide support or employment on release.<\/p>\n
