The world\u2019s first full-service, Gucci-themed restaurant has opened in Shanghai. As if Shanghai did not already have enough luxury shops and fancy places to eat, now there is another option that brings the two together, because the city is now home to the world\u2019s first full-service, Gucci-themed restaurant.<\/p>\n

According to Shanghaiist<\/a><\/strong>, the 1921Gucci Cafe took two years to complete and is the world\u2019s first full-service Gucci restaurant, though there is a Gucci-themed cafe attached to the Gucci museum in Florence.<\/p>\n

The Shanghai restaurant that opened this week is named 1921 for the year the Italian fashion house was founded, and it is located in the IAPM luxury shopping center in Shanghai. Guests can only get there by means of an elevator from the Gucci store in the mall. Once inside, diners are surrounded by velvet, pillows, and things that say \u201cGucci,\u201d like the silverware, napkins, and menus.<\/p>\n

The menu is reportedly primarily Italian, with a two-course lunch menu running approximately 150 yuan, or $24 per person. The prix fix dinner reportedly runs twice that price.<\/p>\n
