Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami<\/strong><\/p>\n

Opening in December 2017, the\u00a0Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s new location is an impressive 20,000 square feet of exhibition galleries and a public sculpture garden designed by Aranguren + Gallegos Arquitectos.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, Cape Town, South Africa<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Cape Town is the first major museum in Africa dedicated exclusively to contemporary art. The 100,000-square-foot space within the historic Grain Silo Complex is also the largest museum to open on the continent in over a century.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, was designed by architects at Norwegian firm Sn\u00f8hetta. The cultural center will include a cinema, library, museum, and auditorium.\u00a0This futuristic design admired by architecture lovers the world over is slated to open late this year.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Mus\u00e9e Yves Saint Laurent, Marrakech<\/strong><\/p>\n

Located in Marrakech, the\u00a0Mus\u00e9e Yves Saint Laurent<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will open this Fall, celebrating the life and work of one of the 20th century\u2019s most defining figures in fashion. The museum, designed by French architecture firm Studio KO, will feature a permanent collection of Saint Laurent\u2019s work staged by Christophe Martin, as well as a gallery, caf\u00e9, and restaurant.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Remai Modern, Saskatchewan, Canada<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remai Modern<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Saskatchewan\u00a0officially opens its doors this month. Canada\u2019s newest home for contemporary artwork, the modernist building \u2014 designed by Canadian architect Bruce Kuwabara \u2014 features roughly 130,000 square feet of total space which can be used for various functions.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST), Athens, Greece<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new location of the\u00a0National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Athens is finally due to open this fall. Following an architecture competition, EMST awarded 3SK Stylianidis Architects, I. Mouzakis & Associate Architects, Tim Ronalds Architects, and K. Kontozoglou the task of collaboratively refurbishing the historic FIX Brewery.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MACAN), Jakarta, Indonesia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MACAN)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will open this November, coinciding with the Jakarta Biennale. The 43,000-square-foot space is located in a mixed-use building and will feature the work of Indonesian artists like Raden Saleh and Affandi, as well as international stars like Ai Weiwei, Jeff Koons, and Gerhard Richter.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Louvre Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Louvre Abu Dhabi<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is finally ready to open this fall. Designed by French Pritzker Prize\u2013winner Jean Nouvel, the museum promises to be worth the wait. The collection includes more than 600 artworks, manuscripts, and objects of historical and cultural significance, with more than 300 masterpieces on loan from French institutions.<\/p>\n

\"Design<\/a><\/p>\n

Museum of the Bible, Washington, D.C.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designed by SmithGroupJJRA and a few blocks from both the Capitol and the National Mall, the 430,0000-square foot\u00a0Museum of the Bible<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0plans to welcome its first crowds this November. The private museum is being funded by Hobby Lobby President Steve Green, who will also provide 40,000 artifacts from his collection, including papyrus fragments of the New Testament.<\/p>\n
