The Cullinan<\/em><\/span><\/strong>, also known as Smooth Sailing,<\/strong> was designed in order to create a superyacht on land; the main living area embodies a luxurious nautical sense of style with curvaceous lines and plus colours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It can be quite seldom for one to be featured in an award-winning design. However, just last year, BRABBU <\/strong>came to be a part of a design worthy of bronze in the A\u2019Design Award and Competition<\/strong>: the Cullinan<\/strong> by Cameron Interiors. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Interiors<\/strong> had worked with projects of varying dimensions up to that point \u2013 in fact, this wasn\u2019t their first award-winning work. These projects ranged from small to large scale residential and even commercial and corporate design projects, always striving to provide unique and comprehensive design solutions, completely tailored to their clients\u2019 persona. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But among all of these commendable projects, the Cullinan <\/strong>stands out for its unique approach on the Cameron Interiors\u2019 core values: aesthetics, functionality, personality and value.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As most interior design projects, the Cullinan<\/strong> had its outlines defined by the clients, which just happened to be big fans of music and film, resulting in a desire, on their part, to have a space that could serve as a home cinema. Guided by their mission to create personalised interiors, the studio delivered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The living room features warm wood flooring that meets with floor-to-ceiling windows which reveal a majestic overview of the Hong Kong <\/span>harbour. These windows are accompanied by heavy blackout curtains that not only prevent the room from overheating but also serve a major role in the owners\u2019 request: the creation of the perfect ambience for a home cinema. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, the room is equipped with upper echelon audio-visual equipment understatedly hidden by a sliding TV wall composed of steel and leather. But the state-of-the-art technology doesn\u2019t end there: a Smart Living System, providing holistic control of all-electric devices \u2013 this includes the projector, screen, curtains and sound system \u2013 was implemented with the goal to provide a more comfortable and convenient day-to-day living for the client. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameron Interiors<\/strong>\u2019 main inspiration for this project was the inherent opulence of a superyacht. To bring this home, the main living area eludes a nautical feel granted by the curvaceous lines that surround the room, mirroring waves echoing throughout the structure which are complemented by the luscious colours chosen for the room\u2019s colour scheme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is especially noticeable in the blue circular rug, hugged by a round cream sofa, that fades from a white shade into increasingly darker shades of blue from the centre \u2013 where a golden centre table can be found \u2013 outward, effectively evoking the ocean in the middle of this splendid living room. This, like all the other details in the apartment, was meticulously thought out and perfectly executed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
