Benoy introduced a\u00a0\u200b\u2018<\/span>City park\u2019 concept to the design of the six-storey mall which sits at the heart of the scheme uniting a\u00a0high-end hotel, boutique shopping street, five residential towers and a\u00a0Grade A\u00a0office tower. The interiors reflect their surroundings, brought to life through a\u00a0thematic approach with the use of natural materials, special wood details and decorative\u00a0plants.\u00a0With its prime location and unique design, Tianjin Luneng\u00a0CC\u00a0<\/span>Plaza Shopping Mall<\/strong> has created a\u00a0strong brand appeal, attracting over 30 new-to-market brands to the city alongside more than 200 stores; created a\u00a0new destination to appeal to both the local community and visitors to this popular tourism hot\u00a0spot.<\/p>\n

Utilising a\u00a0prime waterfront location, Benoy was invited to create a\u00a0mixed-use retail, leisure and food and beverage multiplex that seamlessly integrates into the surroundings. The vision was to design a\u00a0refreshingly modern space, and it required masterplanning, architecture and motion\u00a0graphics. To blend in with the waterfront setting, they designed a\u00a0low-rise development with a\u00a0meandering pedestrian esplanade connecting to four plazas. The Beach<\/strong> is an iconic vista of Dubai\u2019s waterfront, spanning 600m. It offers sustainable commercial opportunities with 68 new outdoor retail and restaurant units, a\u00a0cinema and an entertainment zone.<\/p>\n

Set on the banks of the Chao Phraya River,\u00a0ICONSIAM<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>transforms the Bangkok riverfront into a\u00a0new global attraction for Thailand. This prestigious project includes a\u00a0contemporary shopping mall, a\u00a0luxury retail mall, a\u00a03,500 seat auditorium and two waterfront residential condominium towers. As the interior designer on the retail components of the project, a\u00a0key challenge was ensure footfall through all of the 8\u00a0levels of retail as well as F&<\/span>B. It was essential to create a\u00a0world class contemporary shopping destination that had a\u00a0strong sense of\u00a0\u200b\u2018<\/span>Thai essence\u2019 in order to attract both local and international visitors. A\u00a0narrative based on the symbolic lotus flower and the Chao Phraya River inspires the interior design. The river body inspired the soft fluid forms of the plan which wraps around two feature internal retail buildings, the cladding design is influenced by the flower. The scheme opened to the public at the end of 2018, and is set to become a\u00a0new icon for the city, a\u00a0symbol of national\u00a0pride.<\/p>\n

Located in the heart of Sydney, the David Jones Elizabeth Street flagship<\/strong> is one of Australia\u2019s leading and most iconic department stores. Our challenge was to enhance this heritage building and offer a\u00a0more contemporary, inspiring retail experience, whilst celebrating the store\u2019s opulent\u00a0past. Rejuvenating the interior and exterior, we blended the existing building fabric with a\u00a0re-designed layout. This maximised the store\u2019s twelve levels, while allowing smooth, circulatory movement throughout and enabling a\u00a0more diverse retail\u00a0offering. This iconic shopping destination has been given a\u00a0new lease of life. The first of the twelve levels completed in 2018, the designer Shoe Destination on the seventh floor, with further floors due to follow. In a\u00a0first for Australia, customers will be able to experience the worlds of Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Gucci outside their eponymous boutique\u00a0stores.<\/p>\n

The new Ali Centre<\/strong> covers three plots and includes retail, commercial offices and two central squares. The development covers over 140,000m2<\/sup>. The lower floors of each will house new online and offline retail businesses which will be accessible to the public, while the upper floors are given to international Grade-A office\u00a0spaces. The overall concept looks at space maximisation, comfortable pedestrian flow and open-air\u00a0spaces. Benoy brought together simple elegance with science and technology to inform the interior style across each of the buildings.<\/p>\n
