Founded and led by\u00a0Jeanne Gang, Studio Gang is an\u00a0architecture\u00a0and\u00a0urban design<\/a>\u00a0practice headquartered in Chicago with offices in New York, San Francisco, and Paris. They help people, organizations, and cities design their futures, see their Designs of the Future!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\"Studio<\/a><\/p>\n

Architect and MacArthur Fellow Jeanne Gang, FAIA, Int.\u00a0FRIBA, is the founding principal of Studio Gang. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Chevalier de l\u2019Ordre national de la L\u00e9gion d\u2019honneur, Jeanne is internationally renowned for a design process that foregrounds the relationships between individuals, communities, and environments. Her diverse body of work spans scales and typologies, expanding beyond architecture\u2019s conventional boundaries to pursuits ranging from the development of stronger materials to fostering stronger communities.<\/p>\n\n \"Maya<\/a>\n

Her approach has resulted in some of today\u2019s most compelling architecture, including\u00a0Aqua Tower, the\u00a0Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership, and\u00a0Writers Theatre. She is currently designing major projects throughout the Americas and Europe, including the\u00a0Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History\u00a0in New York; a unified campus for the California College of the Arts in San Francisco; and the new United States Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil.<\/p>\n

They work as a collective of\u00a0100 architects, designers, and planners, using\u00a0design as a medium to connect people to each other, to their communities, and to the environment.<\/p>\n

They collaborate closely with their clients, expert consultants, and specialists from a wide range of fields to design and realize innovative projects at multiple scales: architecture,\u00a0urbanism,\u00a0interiors, and\u00a0exhibitions.<\/p>\n

The heart of the Studio, the Model Shop in Chicago, is a lively, communal, hands-on space where each of the team is encouraged to build, investigate, and explore. Crafted as much by hand as by sophisticated digital tools, our models are tools that push and elevate their designs.<\/p>\n

Studio Gang has won numerous awards, including the 2016 Architizer A+ Firm of the Year Award and the 2013 National Design Award from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.<\/p>\n
