Dimorestudio was founded in 2003, aiming to be a full-service stop, providing architectural and design projects that range from residential, retail and hospitality design but also produces furnishings, textile and lighting design under its brand name Dimoremilano.
Moran and Salci are a perfect fusion of talents. The history of their journey started in Milan where the studio is now operating. Year after year the company has evolved and grown, owing to a clever blend of decorating, artefacts, modern art and major works from the medium of the century.
Dimore translates memories and dreams. They are historians and builders of experience. They build atmospheres and designs that recall. A combination of emotionally evoking settings, places and materials. Nonlinear story mixing recollection, feelings and hopes current. Mix and match various periods of time. Arts and crafts are handed down through generations. Old and new. Vintage and Contemporary.
As Britt Moran says, “The word ‘Dimore’ in Italian means dwelling but conjures up images of old villas clinging to their aristocratic origins. It lends the name a sense of nostalgia. I think it’s our DNA: we take a historical approach to a project to give it some roots, and then we inject it with more of a contemporary feel.”
